Singer Aslam Faqir from Tharparkar has apologized after singing a poem that compared Sindh’s land to holy books. The poem was written by well-known poet Sarwan Sindhi.

According to Aslam Faqir, the song was originally recorded five years ago. A few days ago, some friends visited Islamkot in Nagarparkar and requested that he sing it again. He performed the song, and the video was later uploaded to social media.

In his clarification, poet Sarwan Sindhi said that the religious comparisons used in the poem were not meant to disrespect any holy book or sacred figure. Instead, they were intended to highlight the purity, greatness, and spiritual values of Sindh.

He added that the poem should be understood as an expression of Sindh’s cultural and religious identity rather than viewed in a negative way.
